I found Marti Ewing through the Yoga Alliance teacher finder. I’ve been an RYT-200 since 2013, and needed my continuing ed credits. I was struggling with my health and my teaching, and did not want to face any classes, at all. I only expected to get the requirements over with, and I did not expect to find a new teacher that encouraged me to be better to my body. After a few classes, I was stronger and my upper body pain has gone away completely.
Fluent in Yoga therapy, Marti teaches you how to take care of your body on and off the mat. She shares her anatomy knowledge, and expertly advises safe ways to deepen your practice and teaching.
Marti has a feel for the class’s abilities and maintains a pace for beginners to certified teachers to ensure that all are maximizing their potential. You will learn gentle to challenging techniques in variations suitable for different types of bodies.
I can not say enough great things about Marti’s classes and her teaching methodologies. It has been my path to better overall heath.

Join Julie Byrd and Marti Ewing for a Great Yoga Garden Seminar.
Learn about how to make a beautiful and edible kitchen herb garden.
There is nothing better than fresh herbs from your garden. They are useful for cooking, they smell heavenly and they look so beautiful. Many of us think that having such a garden will require a tons of work. Some have tried such gardens before, only to be defeated by weather and bugs.
The good news is that anyone with an area that has a few hours of sunlight and a couple of minutes each week will have what they need to grow an attractive and useful kitchen herb garden.
Here is what you will get in this workshop:
- Organic herb plants, soil and amendments
- A step by step guide to planting your container
- Tasty treats made from organic herbs
- A garden themed yoga workout suitable for all levels
Come join us for a wonderful experience. Julie has 30 years of organic gardening experience and Marti is a Master Naturalist. You will receive expert tips on how to create an attractive and productive container herb garden. During the workshop we will show you how to choose the best container, select the best soil, choose the right plants for your area, and keep them healthy and thriving. You will leave the workshop with your freshly planted and beautiful container herb garden ready to enjoy at home.
No previous gardening experience necessary – and don’t worry – even if you have ‘killed’ plants before, our workshop will help you succeed with your herb container garden.
Of course the actual planting of the containers is only part of the fun. We will provide you with tasty snacks and also a wonderful garden themed yoga workout to help you stretch and strengthen those gardening muscles.
